Photo exhibition on “Life & Works of Nikolai Gogol” in Bhaktapur - 6th July

A Click to enlargefour-day long photo exhibition on “Life & Works of Nikolai Googol” were put on display at the Jaycees Secondary School of Bhaktapur to mark to 200th birth anniversary of the Great Russian writer Nikolai Gogol.
Students, teachers and people from different walks of life thronged in the exhibition to know the life and works of Googol. The exhibition was organized by Russian Centre of Science and Culture.

A talk programme on "Scope of Physics Studies in Nepal" - 6th July

Nepal Physics Society and Russian Center of Science & Culture jointly organized a discussion Programme on "Scope of Physics Studies in Nepal" at Russian Centre of Science and Culture. Click to enlarge
The programme was attended by the  Minister of Education Ramchandra Kuswabahaas Chief Guest of the function, former Minister of Environment, Science & Technology, Ganesh Shah, Vice Chancellor of Tribhuvan University Prof. Madhav Prasad Sharma, Vice Chancellor of NAST (Nepal Academy of Science & Technology) Dr. Hom Nath Bhattarai etc.
Speaking at the programme all the participated put their views on the scope on physics in Nepal, Minister of Education Mr. Ramchandra Kuswabaha expressed his views on the scope of Physics in Nepal. He also said that the attraction to the physics subjects in Nepal has been incredibly increasing day by day and Nepal is also showing its role in the field of research and development in the international arena.

A program to mark the 53rd Anniversary of the establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Nepal & the Russian Federation - 20th July

A solemn meeting to mark the 53rd Anniversary of the establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Nepal & the Russian Federation was held at Russian Center of Science & Culture on 20th July.
Speakers at the meeting were the President of the Nepal-Russia Friendship Association  B. Tuladhar, President of Mitrakunj Vishnu Bahadur Singh, Chairman of the Nepal-Russia Cultural Association A. Bhandari, Vice-president of the Nepal-Russia Chamber of Commerce & Industry Dr. Shivaji Yadav, Director of RCSC Dr. Vladimir Novikov and staff members of RCSC Mrs. Kamana Dixit. All presenters talked about the experience of bilateral relations, which had been a model of equitable and mutually beneficial interaction between the two countries.

Inter-School Photo competition and exhibition - 21stJuly

A three-day long 4th inter-school photo exhibition has been organized at Russian CenClick to enlargetre of Science and Culture on the occasion of the year of youth in Russia. Students from 22 colleges doing their +2 in mass communications have participated in the exhibition.
Astronaut experts Rishi Shah, President of National Forum of Photo Journalists (NFPJ) Min Brajacharya and Director of Russian Centre of Science and Culture Dr Vladimir Novikov spoke at the programme, Rishi Shah asserts that such exhibition provide opportunity to show the skills of the students to specialized their profession in future.
President of NFPJ Min Brachacharya provided information to the students about the technical aspects of photography.
Director of RCSC Dr V.V Novikov shed lights on the role of youths in the development of nation and world.

Memorandum of Cooperation - 23rd July

Moscow Medical Accademy (MMA) and Tribhuwan University (T.U), Institute of Medicine signed aClick to enlarge Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) Thursday, July 23rd at Institute of Medicine, Maharajgunj Campus, aiming to exchange academic scholars of medicine, faculties of medicine, students, short clinic, technical and research work and scholarship.
MMA is the first medical academy that holdsClick to enlarge the oldest and prestigious medical higher education institution in Russia. It has 251 years of history in medicine of Russia.
Speaking at the function Charge D` Affairs of the Russian Federation Alexander Khozin said it is a government agreement signed to strengthen the cooperation in medical education for providing more scholarship to Nepal .
“It would be the significant achievement in promoting the education of Nepal not only in the valley but also the remote areas of Nepal to learn and make the education prosperous,” Khozin said.

Director of Russian Centre of Science and Culture Dr V.V Novikov said the Russian Federation has plan to provide 10,000 scholarship to the foreign students in pursing their education in different faculties, while Russia has allocated 20 seats of scholarship to the students of Nepal. More >>

Minister of Foreign Affairs Sujata Koirala as a chief guest attenClick to enlargeded in a talk programme on “15th Non-aligned Summit: Achievements and Prospects” organized by United Nations Association of Nepal at Russian Center of Science & Culture on 29th July. The programme was also attended by Charge d’affaires of Russia in Nepal Alexandar G. Khozin, President of United Nations Association of Nepal Dambar Bir Thapa, senior officials of the Nepalese Foreign Ministry, heads of diplomatic missions and public.
During the programme, Minister Koirala presented the letter of appreciation and shawl to the Director of Russian Centre of Science and Culture Dr Vladimir V. Novikov for recognizing his contribution in the development of bilateral and cultural relation between Russia and Nepal. More >>
