A celebration program to mark the 50th Anniversary of People's Friendship University of Russia was organized at Kathmandu University on 29th January 2010. The University is widely known both in Russia and abroad.

Program coordinator of RCSC, Mr. Arseny Starkov gave detail information about the University to the college students, teaching staff of KU and Nepalese graduates from PFUR. He shed light on the history of university and its teaching methodologies. He also described the different faculties and study area, which are currently available in the University. A. Starkov also told the participants about the history of Russian Center of Science & Culture in Nepal and its activities. He said that RCSC is playing a major role in developing friendly relations between Russia and Nepal. He also appreciated the Nepalese graduates from Russian University for their contribution to estabslish this freindly relation between Russia and Nepal. On the same day two documentary about the Nepalese students at PFUR and its history were also screened.
