Russian Center of Science & Culture organized a photo exhibition on the life of Russian famous playwright and Story writer Anton Chekhov (1860-1904) to mark his 150th birth anniversary on 28th January at RCSC Kathmandu. Well-known Nepalese writers, poets, artists, journalists and students were invited in the programme. The exhibition has made an indelible impression on the guests at RCSC Kathmandu. Chekhov is well-known in the Nepalese literary society.

On the same day the Theatre Group – Shaili (the style) also presented a drama show “House with the Attic” in Nepali language to mark this day. The drama was based on the work of Chekhov. The programme was featured in local media.
