The Theatre Group – Shaili (the style) in association with Russian Cultural Center Kathmandu organized a long-awaited drama show "Sharap Pareko Desh”  based on the two stories of the Great Russian writer Anton Chekhov "The Ward No. 6" and "Lizard" on May 28 at RCSC Kathmandu.

The audiences warmly applauded the performance of young artists. Young Director Navaraj Budhathoki brilliantly managed to convey the idea of Chekhov's stories to the viewers. Besides this show, the theatre group "Shailli" also performed drama on the other stories of Anton Chekov "Swan Song", "the House with Mezzanine"  etc. They also successfully set drama based on the works of Nikolai Gogol, Pushkin and Nepalese writers.

The Theatre group "Shailli" is a team of young, successful and talented artists who have set a goal to expand cultural ties between Russia and Nepal through drama and music, as well as to draw attention to the Nepalese community on contemporary social problems of the country.

On the same day, the award distribution function for the students participating in theater courses at RCSC was held.

More than 200 audiences were present in the drama show. The event was featured in National TV Channels "Image TV" and "ABC" and other print publications "Kantipur Daily" and "The Himalayan Times".
