26th Dec 2009, New Year 2010 Celebration in RCSC Kathmandu
RCSC Kathmandu organized New Year 2010 celebration programme and the premier of Puppet show “Frog Princes” on 26th December 2010.
Children of the employees of Russian Embassy to Nepal, Cultural center, Russian compatriots living/working in Nepal took part in the celebration programme in carnival costumes. During the programme, children were entertained by clowns and jugglers. Parents who dressed up in costumes of Russian fairytale characters, organized different fun competitions for the children. Children, along with Santa Claus (“Ded Moroz” – in Russia) who made the Christmas gifts for children and Snow Maiden (“Snegurochka” – in Russia) sang Christmas songs, had circle dance around the well-decorated Christmas tree with sparkling colored lights.

Children with their parents gathered together to see the Puppet show "Frog Princess" in the RCSC auditorium. The show was prepared by the members of the Association of Russian compatriots living in Nepal “Ivushka”. The show was brilliant and applauded by the viewers. This was their 5th Puppet show on Russian fairy tales. Previous shows were “Jack Frost”, "Wave of the Wand", "12 months" and "Scarlet Flower". They are also planning to presents such shows in the future as well.
