In a bid to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of Russian Center of Science and Culture, the Russian Culture Center has organized a three-day long film festival starting from October 21 to October 23, 2009 at the Russian Culture Center Kathmandu.

All together five movies were screened that incorporated different genres like romantic, comedy, fantasy, horror and thriller.

Movie named “Treasure Island”, “The Cold Summer of 1953,” “The Weeding”, “Night Watch” and “Driver for Vera” were screened in different scheduled time.

People from the different parts of the society had taken part in the film festival. It was an opportunity for the Nepalese people to know about the Russian history, culture and tradition through this film festival. The Russian film festival was covered in different national newspapers and electronic media.

Free pass was made available at the RCSC.
