On the occasion of 100th birth Anniversary of Russian Artist Vladimir Aleksandrovich Serov RCSC Kathmandu organized a programme on 21st July, 2010. The students of Nandi Ratri Higher Secondary School were shown a slide show of the famous paintings by Serov. It was followed by the screening of the movie “The Barber of Siberia”.

In the programme, Mrs. Kamana Dixit spoke about the life and work of Serov who was a famous Artist of 20th Century. She added that his creations were not only acknowledged in Russia but also outside the country as well. His most famous portrait paintings are portrait of the actress Mrai Yermolova(1905) Portrait of Henriella Girsh man.(1907) portraitof Ida Rubensein (1910)  and portrait of Princes Olga Orlova(1910) which were showed to the audience during the slide show.
