To mark the 30th anniversary of Russian Cultural Center in Nepal, a Russian delegation including the representative of government of Kaluga region and few well-known personalities from the business circles of the region. The delegation was accompanied by Russian ambassador to Nepal, Andrey L. Trofimov.
They had a tour around RCSC premises and got the information about its day-to-day activities. During their visit, they talked about the development of Russia-Nepal relations and cultural opportunities for partnerships between the Kaluga region and one of the regions of Nepal.
A crew members from Russian state TV channel “Culture” visited Nepal in the beginning of October. They gathered the information about Nepal, its culture, nature and languages. The TV channel team visited RCSC on October 13 and interviewed the president of “Mitrakunj”Vishnu Bahadur.Singh, ex-president of “Mitrakunj” Santoshananda Mishra, the director of RCSC Dr. Vladimir. V. Novikov and the president of association of Russian compatriots in Nepal “Ivushka” Dr. Alla. N. Sharma.
After the interviews, the Theatre Group – Shaili (the style) in association with Russian Cultural Center Kathmandu organized a drama show "Sarkari Nirikshyak" based on the drama "The Inspector General" by Nikolai Gogol.
