1945 is the last year of a cruel war against the German fascist forces. Western cities as Prague, Warsaw, Budapest, Konigsberg, Vienna and Berlin celebrate the Victory march of the Red Army.
The end of World War II in the whole Europe marked the Act of capitulation of fascist Germany, which was signed in the suburbs of Berlin. This was held in the night of 1945 from 8th to 9th May by the representatives of the Supreme command of the Allied forces.
Victory Day is celebrated in different ways - during the celebration a great number of solemn assembly takes place, all people try to visit museums of military equipment of that days. Army representatives, veterans, ex-Legionnaires and others, who were related with this tragic event get together to honor the memory of those heroes, who died during the war for the liberation of the World from German fascist forces. Across the country there is a moment of silence, which honors their memory. These heroes, who were racked with pain, exhausted by hunger and extremely difficult natural conditions as nobody else were waiting for this Victory Day.
With each passing day, there are fewer and fewer number of heroes, survivors of those days, war veterans, participants of the Great Patriotic War. The War claimed millions of lives and crippled more.
